It looks like the house in downtown Swoope, VA, was under the start of renovations, then for some reason everything stopped. The longer it stays open to the elements the harder it will be to renovate.

My philosophy of art is simple: I paint what I find fun or inspiring; if someone else is moved by it, that's great! I derive great joy from selling my original paintings to people who truly love them! Since 2015 I have been giving most of my original paintings to non-profit community-building and religious organizations to assist in their fund-raising efforts via a new effort I have started called Art is Mission (AiM). Jim Harris, Artist is the name of my studio, located in my home in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I have a degree in art (oils, watercolor) from James Madison University.
