This is my second time portraying my idea of the "little church in the dell" from the song "The Church in the Wildwood"...this one is a commissioned piece, created in my signature style: stained-glass-canvas.
My philosophy of art is simple: I paint what I find fun or inspiring; if someone else is moved by it, that's great! I derive great joy from selling my original paintings to people who truly love them! Since 2015 I have been giving most of my original paintings to non-profit community-building and religious organizations to assist in their fund-raising efforts via a new effort I have started called Art is Mission (AiM). Thank you, Judy, This is an improvement on a similar painting that I did a few years ago, it was commissioned by someone who had seen the earlier painting here on FAA. It is somewhat inspired by the style of Grant Wood.
