My philosophy of art is simple: I paint what I find fun or inspiring; if someone else is moved by it, that's great! I derive great joy from selling my original paintings to people who truly love them! Since 2015 I have been giving most of my original paintings to non-profit community-building and religious organizations to assist in their fund-raising efforts via a new effort I have started called Art is Mission (AiM). Jim Harris, Artist is the name of my studio, located in my home in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I have a degree in art (oils, watercolor) from James Madison University.
