This is based on a photo I took of two friends, age 96, who had been married for 76 years. She became ill earlier this year and he was by her side everyday, holding her hand, and assuring her of his love, and praying for God's grace. He died this fall of a broken heart. I was able to finish this in time to give him a print of it. I will donate the proceeds from this sale to a local non-profit that assists disabled veterans. He was a decorated vet of WW2.
My philosophy of art is simple: I paint what I find fun or inspiring; if someone else is moved by it, that's great! I derive great joy from selling my original paintings to people who truly love them! Since 2015 I have been giving most of my original paintings to non-profit community-building and religious organizations to assist in their fund-raising efforts via a new effort I have started called Art is Mission (AiM).
