This was created as a gift for a friend who is going to a new position where he will be the spiritual director of a diverse group of people, people with many views reflected in the national dialogue of the USA at this time. My painting is a picture of my prayer for him, that God bless him to be able to bring peace. He will have to fly against these tides, not with them.

My philosophy of art is simple: I paint what I find fun or inspiring; if someone else is moved by it, that's great! I derive great joy from selling my original paintings to people who truly love them! Since 2015 I have been giving most of my original paintings to non-profit community-building and religious organizations to assist in their fund-raising efforts via a new effort I have started called Art is Mission (AiM).
